Not my usual short post. Why?
When I first started this blog, my intention was to write [50] fifty short stories, and drum roll please, [um, that's a horn. Never mind], and I have completed my intent. [What's that? No speech, please we beg you] .What a tough crowd.
First I want to thank God for granting me this talent of putting life together in words. My calling with a social conscience and a romantic flair.
[William-Adolopole Bougureau - A Calling]
Secondly, those who stopped by to read and comment. I am grateful. If I made you smile, laugh, think, questioned, raised awareness, awakened emotions, thank you. These flowers are for you.
[Vasily Andreyevich Tropin - Girl with Roses]
And lastly, those who will stop by in the future. There are a gazillion blogs out there and you made your way here. Thank you. There are other blogs that you can also make your way to. [What? Where?] Check out my blogroll. Wonderful blogs with awesome pictures, beautifully written poems, inspiring quotes, information, thoughts, . . . [Wait, don't leave now, finish reading].
This sounds like goodbye. [Yay! Who said that?] Well in a way it is. No more stories will be written here. I am closing this part of my life that included other lives, things that maybe you or I went through in one or more of these stories. So as my favorite teddy bear and I prepare to drive off into the sunset, [wait, flat tire], walk off into the sunset, I again say thank you. Special thanks to you Trisha, you’re amazing!

Posted by girlgeum on April 21, 2010 at 9:07 am
This here will not have another post, but I’m going to create a page with longer stories that will only be added on Fridays. So yeah, you haven’t gotten rid of me. Bummer I know.
Was just doing two things at once and posted the longer story here but I deleted it. Look for it on Friday. So you see, it’s not goodbye.

THATS BETTER!
I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT GOING TO YOUR HOME AND SPANKING YOU.
DONT YOU DARE TO STOP WRITING.
I WILL BE WAITING FOR YOUR STORIES.
would have loved to have my daily quota though.
may be you can run both side by side, how about that? eh?
Posted by girlgeum on April 22, 2010 at 6:11 am
Thanks for the comments. I think I set out what I wanted to accomplish with the fifty, so it’s my way of leaving something behind and beginning something new.
Thank you so much for reading them and commenting. And yes, the conversations and insights that you gave.
The page that I’ve already have a name for will have no pictures, will be written in two parts, longer, but as usual have some social consciousness to them. They’ll only appear on Fridays.
I’ll be reading more blogs.

Posted by trisha on April 22, 2010 at 8:22 am

Posted by girlgeum on April 27, 2010 at 6:07 am
No, I closed out the blog itself and opened a new page called Friday’s Winks with longer stories. It feels like I have to write or I’ll be miserable.
And thank you, thank you.
Posted by Z on April 29, 2010 at 6:56 am
will this new blog be more personal or something?
Posted by girlgeum on April 30, 2010 at 5:45 am
No new blog, but a new page. It’s up already. It’s called Friday Winks.
And as for being personal, well you mean like a day in my life. Something like where I receive a call to save the day, and so I grab my cape only to find out that I’m one of those super heroes that can’t fly. So I put my sheet, I mean cape back in the linen closet and then take out my super hero’s outfit. And when I look down, I realize that I’m wearing two different color socks. But I have no time to change it because I must go and save the day. Jump in my hero’s mobile, only to find out that it has no gas. This day can be categorized as being a bad day. That’s personal.

Hey gg,
These pictures are beautiful beyond words.
I am sad to read that this is goodbye here…but as the saying goes, one door closes and another opens. If this is true then I hope you’ll be leaving a link to your new page, so I may follow when I get a moment. I would really like that.
Posted by girlgeum on May 3, 2010 at 6:20 am
Not actually leaving. I felt I set out and accomplished what I wanted to, and that was writing the amount of stories I did. I enjoy writing, so I decided to create a new page with new and longer stories. This time my attempt is to write more action based tales, and yes, always a message somewhere in them.
I thank you for stopping by, reading and requesting over my journey, over his part of my life.

I only started blogging when my literary agent told me it would be a good idea. I use computers for looking up information and Microsoft Word for writing my manuscript…but I never thought I would ever blog. I also never realized just how many incredible writers are out there in cyberspace whom I can connect with. I’m thankful that you commented on my blog and that I in turn found yours. I can’t wait to go back and read all your stories! Have a special day! ^j^

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
There’s a lot of feedback, whether negative or positive, that a writer/blogger can get when blogging. Cyberspace is one big connection that allows people from all over the world with the same interests to communicate. It can be a useful tool sometimes.
