Thank Four (the end)

But that she did not forget. She asked her parents what it was, what it meant. They did not know. She searched for it online, and she found the answer. Art is long, life is short.

Part of her curiosity was satisfied; the other part would be harder to pleased. She did not know who it was that wrote those words. She did not know where to begin to look for answers. She read those words again, but that only watered her desire to know who it was even more.

No more clean up, workmen came in and fixed up the warehouse. After they were through, everyone, including her took part in the decorating and painting of it. Furniture was placed in it, along with books, computers, musical instruments and other stuff. They named the new place Study House.

Those who wanted to learn how to play a musical instrument, like she did, came on Friday afternoons. Their first lesson, and their instructor came in. An old guy dressed in white.

“Young gents and young ladies, you’re here to make music come alive. I’m not much of  talker, but if there are any questions or things that you want to ask me, don’t be afraid to. Before we begin, there’s one thing I want you to remember, art is long, life is short, so–”

“Play on!” she shouted.
